Privacy Policy
Effective August 22, 2026
This policy explains what Signal Desk processes when users create content, connect social accounts, publish, reconcile platform status, and review performance.
1. Scope
Signal Desk is a content automation and publishing platform. It helps users discover stories, create short-form informational video content, schedule and publish to connected social platforms, and track publishing status and performance. This policy applies to information processed by Signal Desk in providing those functions.
Signal Desk is independent from TikTok, Meta, and other platforms. Each connected platform processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.
2. Information Signal Desk may process
A name, email address, account settings, and support communications, used to operate an account, communicate about requests, and provide support.
Platform account identifiers, usernames, display names, selected Pages or profiles, and authorized permissions or scopes, used to identify and operate the accounts a user chooses to connect.
OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, expiration data, and credential references, used only to authenticate requested platform operations, refresh authorization, and maintain the connection.
Stories, sources, scripts, captions, media, publishing choices, schedules, disclosures, edits, approvals, rejections, and related metadata, used to create, review, queue, and publish content as directed.
Signal Desk record identifiers, platform submission or task identifiers, public post or video identifiers, URLs, timestamps, privacy selections, processing status, failures, and retry state, used to prevent duplicates and reconcile Signal Desk with platform reality.
Views, impressions, reach, reactions, comments, shares, clicks, watch or engagement measures when provided by an authorized platform, and collection timestamps, used to show performance and connect measured outcomes to the correct story, script, render, publication, and platform.
Application version, timestamps, job and request state, provider response codes, error details, and basic device or network diagnostics, used for security, troubleshooting, reliability, and abuse prevention.
3. How information is used
Signal Desk uses connected-platform data only to provide requested product functions, including:
- authenticating and maintaining a user-authorized platform connection;
- preparing, scheduling, submitting, and reconciling publications;
- showing the connected account, publication state, and errors;
- collecting authorized analytics and attaching them to the correct publication; and
- protecting the service, resolving support requests, and preventing duplicate or unauthorized actions.
Signal Desk does not sell connected-platform data or use it for targeted advertising. Platform data is not used to create unrelated advertising profiles.
4. Authorization and user control
A platform connection begins through that platform's authorization flow. The authorization screen identifies the permissions requested by the platform app. Signal Desk processes only the permissions granted and available to the connected account.
Users may pause Signal Desk automation, disconnect a supported account in Signal Desk, or revoke the authorization in the platform's own account settings. Revocation may prevent new publishing, reconciliation, or analytics collection. Disconnecting removes locally stored platform credentials; existing content or publication history may remain until separately deleted as described below.
5. Storage, sharing, and third-party APIs
In the supported desktop deployment, working records and media are stored on the operator's computer, while sensitive platform credentials are kept in the operating system's credential vault. If Signal Desk offers a hosted deployment in the future, information may instead be stored with service providers used to operate that deployment. Signal Desk limits access to people and systems that need it for the purposes in this policy.
When a user connects or publishes to a platform, Signal Desk sends the content, metadata, account identifiers, disclosures, and authorization data needed for that request to the relevant platform API. Signal Desk may also share information with infrastructure or support providers that process it on Signal Desk's behalf, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or preserve the security and integrity of the service. Signal Desk does not disclose platform data for unrelated purposes.
6. Retention
Signal Desk retains information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain an accurate editorial and publication trail, secure the system, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. OAuth credentials are retained while the connection is active and are removed from Signal Desk's local credential store when the user disconnects that platform. Content, publication identifiers, status, analytics, and technical logs may be retained longer where they are needed for provenance, duplicate prevention, support, security, or transactional integrity.
Deletion requests are evaluated against these needs. Limited records or backup copies may remain temporarily where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or reliable restoration. They are not used for new product activity after deletion except for those limited purposes.
7. Security
Signal Desk uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the deployment, including separating credentials from ordinary application records, limiting access, validating authorization state, and avoiding credentials in source control and routine logs. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so Signal Desk cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Access, correction, and deletion requests
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of Signal Desk-stored account or connected-platform data where supported and required. Instructions are available on the Data Requests & Deletion page. Signal Desk may need to verify the requester's identity and authority over the relevant account before acting.
9. Policy updates
This policy may be updated as Signal Desk changes or legal and platform requirements evolve. The effective date at the top will be revised when changes are published. Material changes may also be communicated through the product or the contact information associated with an account, where available.
