Data Requests & Deletion
Effective August 22, 2026
Disconnecting a platform stops Signal Desk from using its authorization. A separate data request can remove eligible Signal Desk-stored account and platform data.

Use the subject “Signal Desk Data Request.” Never send your password, OAuth token, app secret, or other credential.
1. Disconnect a social account in Signal Desk
- Open Signal Desk and go to the publishing or Distribution area.
- Open the connected platform's settings.
- Choose the option to disconnect the account and remove its local tokens.
- Confirm that the platform is shown as disconnected before closing the application.
Disconnecting removes the platform authorization credentials stored by Signal Desk on that computer and prevents new authenticated requests. It does not delete a post that has already been published, cancel every platform-owned scheduled post, or automatically erase Signal Desk's editorial and publication history.
2. Revoke authorization at the platform
You may also open the connected platform's own security, permissions, business integrations, or connected-apps settings and revoke Signal Desk's access there. This is useful if Signal Desk is unavailable or you want the platform to invalidate its authorization directly. The platform controls its own revocation interface and may retain data under its separate privacy policy.
Revoking at the platform does not by itself delete records already stored by Signal Desk. Use the request process below for those records.
3. Request access, correction, or deletion
Email tjtinkle33@gmail.com and include:
- the type of request: access, correction, deletion, or another privacy question;
- the email address or Signal Desk account information associated with your use, if any;
- the connected platform and public username, Page, or profile identifier involved;
- a description of the records or correction you are requesting; and
- a safe way to contact you about identity or account-authority verification.
Do not email passwords, access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, or copies of private credentials. Signal Desk may request limited additional information to verify identity and authority over the relevant account. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the capabilities of the current deployment.
4. What a deletion request may cover
Depending on what Signal Desk stores for the requester, eligible data may include:
- account and contact information;
- connected-platform identifiers and stored authorization credentials;
- content, captions, media, schedules, and related metadata;
- platform submission, publication, status, URL, and analytics records; and
- support communications and technical records reasonably linked to the account.
A request to Signal Desk does not delete content or account data controlled solely by TikTok, Meta, or another platform. Use the platform's own deletion and account controls for that information.
5. Limited retention after a request
Signal Desk may retain the minimum information reasonably necessary for security, fraud and abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, transactional integrity, duplicate-publication prevention, or backup restoration. For example, a limited record that a request or publication occurred may be needed to prevent an accidental replay. Retained information will not be used for new publishing or analytics activity except as necessary for those limited purposes.
